Podcast Movement celebrates Black History Month…our Valentine’s Day Special

Greetings PM Family, and Happy Valentine’s Day!

Today we’re celebrating Black History Month by showing love to a few of our Podcast Movement community’s podcasts of color. These podcasts focus on a broad range of subjects, from sports to politics, and from business to self development.

We teamed up with Stephen A. Hart of the Trailblazers.FM podcast to explore a few of the podcasts that challenge, inform and project some much needed voices and topics into the world. We’re also excited for Stephen, as he and a few other podcasters in our community were recently featured on Apple Podcasts main page for Black History Month!

We are proud to highlight some podcasters from our community and celebrate their powerful and creative works in this week’s newsletter.

Alex Elle (hey, girl.) – hey, girl. unites the voices of phenomenal women near and far. Created with sisterhood and storytelling in mind, author Alex Elle sits down with people who inspire her. From friends to family members and strangers, the hey, girl. guests give us a peek into their stories through candid and intimate conversations.

Cole Johnson (the Cole Sportz) – Cole loves sports information. His weekly podcast intersects news, comedy, politics, entertainment, and intellect in the sports world.

Kwame Christian (Negotiate Anything) – Kwame is a business lawyer and is passionate about teaching business professionals how to negotiate and be more persuasive. His podcast Negotiate Anything is the top ranked podcast in the U.S. on the topic of negotiations.

Jas Hands (Brown Liquor Report) – Jas and her co-hosts’ podcast was birthed at the intersection of friends reuniting over heated and humorous discussion about politics and pop culture, chicken and liquor. It has quickly evolved, and has emerged as a unique voice for Generation Xers who find themselves straddling ratchet and responsibility.

Eghe Lenze (Welcome to the Hood) – Eghe is based in Indianapolis, IN and is a wonderful contributor to our community. She is a special exception to our list because she hasn’t quite started her podcast on parenting yet, but is a member of the 28 Day Challenge and is planning to launch at the end of the month!

Michelle Jackson (Michelle is Money Hungry) – Michelle is a personal finance blogger who is unapologetically money hungry, because being broke sucks. But, she’s not talking about being greedy. She’s talking about being financially mindful-one decision at a time.

Ebony Louis (The Laundry Room Podcast) – Ebony recently launched The Laundry Room Podcast with her bestie Judy Vu. They discuss truth and adventure in everyday situations. Telling it all in hopes to inspire others to “live your truth”. Ebony also is the co-author of the new book The Perspective of the Cheater and The Cheated.

Civilla Morgan (Childless Not By Choice) – Civilla Morgan created a community and a place of understanding for men and women who are childless, not by choice. This community can often be misunderstood or ignored by society. Civilla aims to change that by treating others with understanding, empathy and grace.

Judithe Registre (The Get InPowered Podcast) – Judithe’s podcast is about individuals, innovators, advocates, activists, and agents of social change across sectors and industries who are working to transform their communities and the world at large. These are people who, through their own personal experiences and a gender equity lens, are working to create more inclusive and progressive communities.

Chris Jones (Ready Write Launch– Chris has always loved books. He helps writers at any stage learn how to write more efficiently and market, promote, and sell their work effectively. Chris is determined to bring his audience inspiring interviews with writers, authors, and professionals who influence the writing world, as well as informational shows to help navigate through the writing life.

Bre Mitchell (Eff the Cubicle) – Bre is based in Los Angeles, CA. She has a passion for helping single moms that are serious about starting and growing a successful side-hustle. Bre loves podcasting and is an awesome supporter of Podcast Movement.

Engel Jones (12 Minute Convos) – Engel is from Trinidad and Tobago. He has had over 1700 twelve minute podcast episode conversations with all types of professionals! Engel loves helping others with their personal brand, but even more so, he loves to share the power of conversation.

Alexis Parris (Empowered Millennial Podcast) – Alexis knows how to stand out. She may be only 21 years old, but her experiences and natural charisma have given her a unique platform to globally impact youth. She does this by teaching personal development principles and help young leaders create their best life in the process.

Prince Bre (Power Not Pity) – Bri. M explores the lives of disabled people of color everywhere. Through storytelling, commentary and analysis, the podcast aims to amplify the lived experiences and perspectives of disabled people. It also uncovers their disable power.

Sonia Thompson (The Customer Magnet Show) – Sonia is an author, world traveler, business coach and host of the Customer Magnet Show. We have watched Sonia “grow up” in a sense over the last several years. We couldn’t be more proud of her accomplishments on her podcast and in life!

Jonathan Mitchell Dixon (Black Boy Blitz) – Jonathan started the Black Boy Blitz to explore lives of black/brown men, and allow the world to know their voices and the ideas. The show also discusses boyhood/manhood/fatherhood, toxic masculinity, and topics of various fields, as well as their take on all kinds of affairs.

Rana Campbell (Dreams in Drive) – Rana hosts a podcast geared towards creatives & lifestyle entrepreneurs who want to learn how to take their dreams out of PARK and into DRIVE. They chat with successful creative and lifestyle entrepreneurs who will share their personal dream driving stories and the keys to success that have helped them along the way.

Gregg Clunis (Tiny Leaps, Big Changes) – Gregg hosts a self-help podcast about the day-to-day behaviors that everyone engages in that determine the results we gain in our lives. Gregg shares simple personal development strategies you can use as well as the habits you can develop to get the most out of your life.

Jamila Souffrant (Journey To Launch) – Jamila and her husband saved $85,300 over 12 months, and her podcast helps others eliminate debt, save more money and increase their net worth.
